Vanity

I looked at the face staring back at me in the mirror and sighed. Its leathery skin made me look old. The holes for eyes appeared like they were cut by a maniac; no that will not do at all.

I put it down and held up another and peered through it; just as bad. Their age had caused them to lose all their moisture. They just looked like masks now.

I lowered it, fingering the knife in my pocket and smiled back at my reflection. I was going to need another. Maybe a redhead this time.

I love hunting for a new face.
